Francal Citizenship was created over 10 years ago, a pioneering initiative of Francal Feiras in the tradeshows segment.
Over time, the area was challenged to take effective actions in both protecting and preserving the environment, such as social activities to strengthen the commitment of generating business events with quality and responsibility.
Today, Francal Citizenship has four acting cornerstones:
Environmental Responsibility: includes activities related to environmental education for employees and external audiences (exhibitors, assemblers, visitors and others directly involved in the events). Other consolidated activities are the sustainable management of pavilions, which handles collection, control and proper disposal of waste and neutralizing emissions of greenhouse gases of the fairs by planting seedlings from the Atlantic.
Internal Public: Together with Human Resources, encourages employees to participate in social and environmental responsibility actions of Francal Feiras. It performs selective collection at the company’s facilities; supports projects or voluntarism actions and deploys activities that improve the quality of life of employees.
Community: comprises support to institutions that promote social inclusion and assistance to needy communities. Two important examples are the sponsorship to the Association of Parents and Friends of the Free Basketball Club - ASPA, which promotes inclusion through sports and Francal Citizenship Playroom. There, it mounts recreational spaces with products collected in one of its shows.
Action Multiplying Network: the focus is to support, inform, expand and work together with partners of fairs, exhibitors, industry organizations and other entities related to Francal Feiras that maintain good social environmental practices.
